Nobody puts Lola in a corner. German zookeepers are patiently abiding the wishes of a young seal who escaped her enclosure at the Karlsruhe Zoo and has taken up residence at the zoo's nearby swan pond. Staff there report that Lola has "evaded capture," and seems content to frolic among the pond's usual inhabitants: turtles, ducks, fish and the aforementioned swans. German zoo fans are reportedly lining up to catch a glimpse of Lola in her rule-breaking glory, though she seems to like to keep things on the down-low, mainly coming out at night. Zoo staff have also been careful to keep her fed with salty fish snacks, since she might not be getting enough salt in the pond's fresh water.
